The job of being mom and photographer is a harder job than it looks. its now one month past her 18 month birthday, but never the less here we are. notice the sad cold sore she has on her tiny lips, but the photo shoot must go on right?

i adore this kid! and love getting the opportunity to take his pictures. his mom and dad claimed that he wasn’t very good at taking pictures, every time they would get out their camera he would stop smiling. but i did not have this problem. landon wouldn’t stop smiling. it was so much fun!

look at our new family members. well, for the time being. we had fun carving these pumpkins with Clay&Candice. sadie on the other-hand did not enjoy it. she thought she was too “girly,” for “ewwy-gewwy,” pumpkin guts.

well i felt inspired to write today…the last couple of days I’ve been thinking that birthdays aren’t that fun when your all “grown-up….”and thinking about today, and how it won’t be all that special. but i woke up this morning with something totally opposite of those thoughts..I was thrilled that it was my birthday!! i woke up to lash in the bathroom getting ready for school, and Sadie sipping her milk and watching Dora. the same as everyday,  but today just made me want to sing!! i couldn’t wait to get out of bed to hug lash and get morning breath kisses from Sadie! i didn’t even feel like i had any birthday wishes this year, and just this ordinary day was perfect for me. I absolutely love being a wife and a mom! i love playing House in our little condo….. doing the laundry and making PB & J sandwiches for lunches, and filling my calendar with things to do. Thats what made this day special, its the fact that it was just the same as everyday. Being married to my Hunky husband and mom to Sadie, taking care of Sadie and doing house hold chores,  i  love my life, even on the hard days. I am so grateful for the many blessings in my life. My family and my friends who i enjoy so much to be around. the extra things are very nice too like this experence i had last night: I called a friend at the last minute to stop by for a quick visit, and to my surprise…she and her family were waiting for my arrival, with dinner on the table and a special seat for me, the kids filled up the time with a million and one questions for me to answer, and things they wanted me to see…their excitement grew as they handed over a present they had gotten me for my birthday. The present was AWESOME, and new, something i had never heard of. i love discovering new things specially ones that smell this heavenly! i loved the packaging too! i loved it so much i had to share it with you. its just something girls get excited over! little boxes that smell delicious! haha. but my favorite part of all was the card that came with it!! i love those simple things in life, like a hand written card. and a picture made specially for me.

So….this is me on my birthday, enjoying my simple delights of my ordinary life.
